Outline |
We have a special interest in treating patients with heart valve disease.
Minimally invasive surgeries through small incision in the right chest are performed in more than 95% of mitral repair surgery in our institution, which include many benefits for patients compared to traditional, open-chest procedures.
As a special microscope is utilized during these surgeries, we can share the surgical field in multiple wide screens in the OR, and review the surgery in recorded high-quality videos.
Those are big benefit for young surgeons who studies surgical procedures.
We are also interested in 3D imaging of heart structure by multimodality imaging, which is essential for sophisticated and successful surgery.
In addition to clear visualization, we make a strong effort to quantitative analysis of the structures for the evaluation of our surgical procedures.
